iPhone 4.0?
Wednesday, 20 January 2010 12:59
There has been a lot of buzz around Apple lately about what they are planning to unveil on January 24th, 2010. A lot of speculations have been made that not only will they release their tablet, the iSlate, but that the iLife 2010 suite and iPhone 4.0 OS will be made available to the general public.
One of the new enhancements rumored to be a part of the new 4.0 OS is the new mapping program. In November of 2009 Apple scraped Google maps and purchased the mapping company PlaceBase.
Other enhancements include the ability to run applications in the background as well as the introduction of a new way to sync your contacts and calenders. There is also rumored to be Multi-touch gestures throughout the OS and a new graphical interface to make navigating through your iPhone as easy as possible. But these features are supposedly only for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS which leavesĀ first gen iPhone users out in the cold.
But again, these are all rumors and should not be taken too seriously. Like every year at Apple, we will just have to wait and see what happens when they announce the update on the 24th.
What would you like to see in the next iPhone software update? As for Charlie and myself, we are gitty with excitement! We will be reviewing in a video as soon as it’s out! Leave us a comment below.
